How to Disable WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) notification nag screen







Many of us, using WindowsXP operating system have encountered problems like this, and it is really annoying because every time you log in your computer, it will always appear and sometime it disable your desktop wallpaper. But I will teach you on how to disable this WGA notification nag screen.


1. Firsts launch Windows Task Manager by pressing ALT+CTRL+DEL.
2. End wgatray.exe process in Task Manager.
3. Then restart WindowsXP in Safe Mode and ,press F8 first before it the WindowsXP logo appear .

4. After logging in a Safe Mode, go to my computer and click c:\Windows
4. Delete WgaTray.exe from c:\Windows\System32. and also delete WgaTray.exe from c:\Windows\System32\dllcache.
6. Lauch RegEdit.
7. Browse to the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify
8. Delete the folder ‘WgaLogon’ and all its contents
9. Reboot Windows XP.



Then you have successful disable WGA notification nag screen.


How to Install WindowsXP





I will instruct you on how to install WindowsXP operating system. It is just as easy and quick even if you are not a professional computer technician, as long that you will follow my instruction on how to install WindowsXP operating system.
Procedure:
1. First you must go to your computer BIOS (Basic Input/Output System).
1.1 Just turn on your computer and simply press F2 or Deldepending in your computer setup.
1.2 If you are now in your Computer BIOS, just go to BOOT setup
1.2.1 in the BOOT setup menu, select boot device priority to CD or DVD, because we want the computer to read first the CD or DVD, before reading the hard disk.


2. After restarting your computer, First you must insert the CD of WindowsXP installer and just wait for a prompt message “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” and press any key. Then the computer will read the CD of WindowsXP installer.








3. Once the setup begin you will see a prompt that setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration after that windows setup will copy file.





4. Next step you will see a message press F8 to accept the terms.




5. Here you will see the option repair if you have a previous WindowsXP installed in your computer, or press ESC to continue with fresh installation. When you press ENTER you will see on next page the partition of your hard drive.




6. Pls. take note that you must partition your hard disk before installing so that only the Windows file system will be in the drive C: and the other drive will be used for your data files. Pls. see my other post of how to partition your drive. Now that you have finished partition your hard disk next step you will prompt to format your hard disk, Pls. use NTFS file system, when formatting your hard disk.
